Aburi
Aburi is a small town that was, in colonial times, a retreat for official visitors and others who needed to get away to a comfortable spot near the coast. Perhaps its greatest attraction is the botanical garden, which can be seen on a day trip. Aburi is 20 mi/35 km north of Accra. Nearby attractions in Aburi are Akosombo Dam and the Tafo Cocoa Research Institute.
