Lusaka
Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, has little to offer the international tourist. Sights include the Luburma Market, and Chief Mungule’s Village. Wood carvings made by local craftsmen can be seen at Kabwata Cultural Center.
There is a duty-free shop in town that only takes foreign currency; this shop has liquor and other items you may be unable to find in other stores, since shopping is limited. The airport is 16 miles (26 km) from the city.

Lochinvar National Park
Lochinvar is a bird watcher's paradise with over 400 species recorded. In addition, the park is host to about 30,000 Kafue lechwe (their stronghold), 2000 blue wildebeest, and 700 zebra. Greater kudu, bushbuck, oribi, hippo, side-striped jackal, reedbuck and common waterbuck are also present.
Kafue lechwe are unique to the Kafue Flats and are related to the red lechwe of the Busanga Swamps of Kafue National Park.
Bird watching in this 153 square mile (410 km2) is best February-March and also very good November-December and April-May. Water birds such as the wattled crane are especially abundant. Other bird species include
Livingstone
Livingstone is a small town of about 80,000 inhabitants, five miles (8 km) from Victoria Falls. Driving from Lusaka takes five to six hours (295 mi./470 km) and flying takes a littleover an hour.
The Livingstone Museum is the National Museum of Zambia and is renowned for its collection of Dr. Livingstone's memoirs. Other exhibits cover the art and culture of Zambia. The Maramba Cultural Center exhibits bandas from various districts in Zambia and presents colorful costumed perfor¬mances by Zambian dancers. The Railway Museum has steam engines and trains from the late 1800s and 1900s.

Kafue National Park
Kafue National Park is one of the largest in Africa, covering 8687 square miles (22,400 km2), making it two and one-half times the size of South Luangwa National Park and half the size of Switzerland.
Kafue has the largest number of different antelope spe¬cies of any park in Africa. However, game is more difficult to see here than in South Luangwa, since much of Kafue, especially the southern area, is clothed with a double-canopy forest. It is seldom visited by international travelers.
